I love this style of painting, when you see them up close it's like ok nice but ordinary looking, but when you stand back from the painting omg, master piece, to me that's awesome.
To get that effect do you just slap the paint on & then stand back to see how it looks? Back & forth?

Yes I do, its alot of stepping and sometimes when I back up I fall over my stool =). I try and step back and take a look every five minutes or so just to see how it looks farther back. Oftentimes you dont need as much detail as you think. Everyone here sees my work and think its really detailed, but if you saw it up close you would see its alot looser then it appears on screen.
